As far as we know the directions below are correct as posted. Roads and exit numbers can change and there could be errors. Some details are provided that are not provided by MapQuest, Google, Yahoo, etc. You may wish to compare the results from them with what is shown below. Please advise us of any needed updates.

Driving Directions by Ferry from Newport

Get onto RI-138 E toward JAMESTOWN / NEW YORK and cross over the Newport toll bridge and Jamestonwn/Naragansett Bridge.
Merge onto TOWER HILL RD/US-1 N toward PROVIDENCE .
Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto RI-4 N.
Take the RI-102/RI-2 exit- exit number 5- toward EXETER/WICKFORD.
Turn SLIGHT LEFT to take the RI-2/RI-102 ramp toward I-95/PROVIDENCE/RI-4.
Turn LEFT onto RI-2/RI-102/TEN ROD RD. Continue to follow RI-102.
At the end of TEN ROD RD take a left onto RT-3
Travel south less than one mile to the yellow flasher where RI-165 starts. There is a PIZZA place and BAR on the corner on the right.
Turn right on RI-165.
Stay on RI-165 about six miles to the CT border in the middle of Beach Pond
Stay on RI-165. RI-138 will join RI-165 and they will be co-numbered as you travel into Voluntown, CT
Stay on RI-138 about nine miles passing through Voluntown until you come to I-395. Take I-395 south toward Norwich. You will make a left onto a service road, travel a short distance to a traffic signal and then go straight ahead to get on I-395
Travel on I-395 about eight miles to the Norwich, CT exit (82)
Follow the signs for CT-2 East. You will come to a signal at the exit ramp and turn right. Follow this road through Yantic until you cross over Rt-2. You will then come to a signal where you have to make a left turn to get on RT-2 East toward Hartford.
Take RT-2E about 25 miles to Exit 10 for Manchester Road CT-83.
Take the CT-83 exit- exit number 10- toward E. GLASTONBURY/MANCHESTER.
Turn LEFT onto CT-83/MANCHESTER RD and travel to the T intersection where it ends.
Turn RIGHT onto New London Turnpike and travel less than a mile to the traffic signal by CHESTNUT HILL RD.
Turn LEFT on CHESTNUT HILL RD and follow it about three miles to the traffic signal at Main Street and Red Hill Drive. You will pass through two stop signs and some sharp curves.
Turn LEFT onto CT-17/MAIN ST.
Travel past a traffic signal at Hopewell Road through S. Glastonbury Center to the traffic signal by CT-165. Go straight ahead on CT-17.
After passing a restaurant on the left make your first LEFT onto S MILL DR.
